Impossible choices – what a week in Bristol!

I’ve got my gig going planned for this week. The nights I’m free have mouth wateringly enticing gigs.

Tuesday – it’s Xhosa Cole’s Trio preceded by Ruth Hammond‘s solo set at the Fringe in Clifton for the Fringe In The Round session – I already posted about this one

Friday – Rebecca Nash brings her new project to St. George’s before showcasing at the London Jazz Fest in a few weeks. Get your tickets here

But really, the embarrassment of riches, elsewhere in the week is hard to credit.

Wednesday: Matthew Bourne’s trio are the feature Fringe Jazz at Bristol Music Club this week. That piano will get a work out. Details here

Thursday: Joe Webb is, amazingly, in the bijou surroundings of El Rincon with his ‘The Art of Tatum’ project, courtesy of another Pedro Promotions coup. There may still be tickets.

A tough choice still in Bedminster, because Henrik Jensen brings his band to the BeBop Club at the Hen and Chicken – also Thursday. (Maybe try and fit both in!) Details here
